This, however, was not long lasting, as neither the replays of shows were censored nor were broadcasts in other countries. Following that, censorship issues were relaxed and instead, Parental Guidance was instated to achieve the same purpose.

The production process of Smackdown is such that the show is recorded on Tuesday and aired on Syfy on the following Friday. The official soundtrack of the show, 'Know Your Enemy' by Green Day, has now become its anthem and identity and is played at the start of each episode. The previous soundtrack 'Let it Roll' by Divide was also just as popular amongst all wrestling fans and is still associated with Smackdown. In addition to this, each individual wrestler has his own identification song which is played when he enters the arena and live audiences can be seen chanting these very songs as their favourite wrestlers walk in.
